Farbenfrieden

consists of extremely close-up photos of the interior flesh of fruits and vegetables. Cropped to a square, each of these images recedes towards total abstraction, while nonetheless holding a notion, or perhaps a feeling, of peace, quiet, or meditation….

The texture of the photographed object is observed only through a small focused part of the picture. The photographs shown in the presentation are examples of pictures of a strawberry, a lime, a melon, a carrot, an onion, a beet, a pumpkin, a red grapefruit, a kiwi….

The major aim out of this project is to have a collection of shades of colors that have been taken out of fruits and vegetables over vast areas of the world. In other words “to unify the world with and in colors”. These colors, in my opinion, resemble the world’s natural products, which are sometimes hardly to be found when the world is missing peace.

The collection of these photos is assumed to be shown in exhibitions and published in a photo book.
